OUR COMPANY

Our patriarch, Jim Stump was a District Manager for Mayfair Markets and worked for them for over 20 years. His territory included all of San Diego County from Orange County to the north to the Mexican border in the south.

In 1977, Jim Stump purchased our first store in San Diego; it was located in Kearney Mesa. Thirty-years later, the Stump family has had up to six stores and as many as 240 employees.

Since then, the Stumps have made every effort to design Stumps Family Marketplace into an up-scale natural-gourmet store with an emphasis on service. Taking care of our customer's every request is our highest priority.
